U.S. Senator Steve Daines has introduced a bipartisan resolution to designate the week of February 2, 2026, as “National Tribal Colleges and Universities Week.” The resolution aims to recognize the contributions and achievements of tribal students in Montana and across the country.

“I’m thrilled to introduce a resolution celebrating National Tribal Colleges and Universities Week. I’m proud of the hard work, achievements, and academic greatness of tribal students in Montana and look forward to the lasting impact these students will make on our state and the nation,” said Daines.

Senator Daines represents Montana in the U.S. Senate, where he engages in public service through constituent assistance and participation in Senate committee work, according to his official website. He grew up in Bozeman, Montana, attended public schools there as a fifth-generation Montanan, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Montana State University. His office provides various constituent services such as assistance with federal agencies and veterans resources. Daines has also received awards from the Congressional Management Foundation for transparency and staff support.
