CITY OF KALISPELL: Kalispell Police Dept. Taking Measures to Minimize Contacts

City of Kalispell issued the following announcement.

Due to the hazards presented by COVID-19 (Coronavirus) the Kalispell Police Department is taking measures to minimize certain kinds of contacts.  

We will not be providing fingerprint services until further notice.  Our lobby will remain open for reports, however, pass through windows may be utilized.   Sex Offender registrations will continue as required by Montana law.  The members of the Kalispell Police Department will remain proactive in their approach to our community.  Enforcement efforts will not be curtailed.  Community safety is our main priority. 

We are taking steps to minimize certain contacts while in the field. For example, electronic verification of identification may be used.   Vehicle unlocks will be reduced to emergency situations with children or animals locked inside of vehicles.    We are all in this together, we remain here to serve our community at the safest and highest level.
