Daines pens bipartisan legislation aimed at preventing wildfire damage

Wildfires burned through more than 8.7 million acres of land in the western states and climate experts predict the weather patterns that create such catastrophes will continue and potentially get worse in the coming years, Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT) and Congressman Greg Gianforte (R-MT) said in a press release.

Montana lenders seek federal financial assistance for struggling business owners

Forced to shut down and with no means of bringing in income, non-essential business owners in Montana are struggling to pay their bills and in many cases their staff, but the Small Business Administration has been able to step in and provide much-needed loans to help business owners survive the pandemic through a $2.2 trillion COVID-19 rescue package, according to the Missoulian.
