Sen. Steve Daines has long urged for Montana high-paying energy jobs at the Colstrip Power Plant and the Rosebud Coal Mine. | Facebook
Sen. Steve Daines is bringing the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Energy Dan Brouillette to Colstrip to discuss the importance of Montana energy jobs directly with Montana residents, according to a press release on Daines' website.
"I’m excited to welcome Secretary Brouillette to Colstrip to meet with hardworking Montanans and talk about the importance of supporting Montana energy jobs and having a diverse energy portfolio,” Daines said.
Daines has long urged for Montana high-paying energy jobs at the Colstrip Power Plant and the Rosebud Coal Mine and is a Senate leader on finding solutions, such as Carbon Capture technology that will reduce emissions and protect and grow jobs in Montana communities like Colstrip.
Daines is also a sponsor of several bills that could help support Colstrip and other Montana communities, such as The Effect Act, The USE IT Act, The CO2 Regulatory Certainty Act and The Carbon Capture Modernization Act.
