Greg Gianforte, governor-elect of Montana, wants citizens to help the state recover from the damage of COVID-19.
He has launched a website, Serve Montana, to attract those who wish to help.
“Montanans have made their voices heard,” Gianforte said. “You want Helena to change how it does business. You want to get our economy going again and get back to work in good-paying jobs. You want to protect our Montana way of life.”
The challenges faced by the state include the COVID-19 crisis, the economic pandemic, a likely state budget shortfall, a scourge of addiction and drugs and burdens on Montana families, Gianforte said.
“These serious challenges require serious solutions," he said.
He called for the public’s help in addressing the problems.
“To lead Montana’s comeback and address these challenges, we’re looking for well-qualified, dedicated innovators to serve Montana,” he wrote. “I’m asking you to serve Montana. If you would like to be considered to help build a better Montana for all Montanans, please fill out the form below and send your credentials."
