City of Whitefish issued the following announcement.
Today, Governor Bullock issued a new directive to slow the spread of COVID-19 that requires all restaurants, bars, breweries, distilleries, and casinos to operate at 50 percent capacity and close no later than 10:00 p.m. Tables must be limited to six people and other distancing and face covering requirements still apply.
Public gatherings and events are limited to 25 individuals when social distancing is not possible or observed. Anyone planning an event with more than 25 people should consult with the Flathead City-County Health Department to determine if the protocols in place for the event are adequate. While gatherings and events are limited to no more than 25 individuals, it is highly recommended that in-person gatherings do not exceed 15 people. Please keep this in mind as you plan your holiday celebrations.
While Flathead County has had mandatory face coverings for some time due to more than 4 active cases, the new directive requires face coverings in all counties regardless of the number of active cases.
To support businesses during these restrictions, Governor Bullock will be providing additional Business Stabilization Grants for those businesses that agree to comply with all state and local COVID-19 orders. Governor Bullock is also providing $25 million to the Montana Department of Labor & Industry for supplemental unemployment payments of $200 a week from November 28th to December 19th for eligible individuals who are unemployed or partially unemployed due to COVID-19 disruptions.
The effective date of this directive is November 20, 2020. You can read the directive here.
