City of Great Falls issued the following announcement.
Did you know that live Christmas trees are recyclable? Christmas is just around the corner, but once the presents are put away and family has gone home it doesn’t mean it’s time to throw your live Christmas tree in the trash. Live Christmas trees are biodegradable, which means they can be reused or recycled for other purposes. Great Falls residents are encouraged to recycle their live Christmas trees from December 28, 2020 – January 8, 2021 at the following locations:
- Meadowlark Park – Fox Farm and Park Garden Road
- Malmstrom AFB – Balfour Beatty Community Center - 600 Aspen
The City of Great Falls, Republic Services, Great Falls Fish Wildlife & Parks, and Walleyes Unlimited Great Falls Chapter sponsor the Christmas Tree Recycling Project. For more information, contact Public Works at 771-1401 or Republic Services at 761-2545.
