A woman was pronounced dead in Lolo after she reportedly jumped out of a moving vehicle.
Officials from the Missoula County Sheriff's Office revealed that deputies responded to a call the morning of Sept. 11, according to KTVQ.
"At 4:16 a.m. this morning [sic], Missoula County sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of suspicious activity near the intersection of [U.S. Route] 93 South and Delarka Drive," officials from the Missoula County Sheriff's Office said in a news release. "A female was reported to have jumped from a moving vehicle."
Officials said the male driver of the car called 911 and tried to resuscitate the female passenger, KTVQ reported. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Members of the sheriff's office urged anyone who has details involving the incident or stopped to provide assistance to contact Detective Sgt. Ryan Prather at 406-258-4610 or 406-531-0337.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the female passenger during this very difficult time," officials said in the news release.
The southbound lanes of U.S. Route 93 were temporarily closed as deputies conducted an investigation, according to KTVQ. The woman's name has not been released. More details will be provided as they become available.
