CDBG Community Needs Assessment Public Hearing

A combined hearing will be held by the City of Kalispell and Flathead County, at 1:00 p.m., November 10, 2022, in the Kalispell City Council Chambers located in the Kalispell City Hall at 201 First Avenue East, Kalispell, MT 59901. The public can participate in person in the council chambers or via videoconferencing. Register to join the video conference by contacting the City of Kalispell Development Services Department by email CDBG@kalispell.com or by phone 406-758-7713. 

The purpose of this hearing is to obtain the views of community residents, especially low/moderate income residents, regarding community development needs and priorities of the City of Kalispell and Flathead County for economic development, housing and neighborhood revitalization and public facilities. The CDBG program is administered by the State of Montana Department of Commerce and will make available to eligible local governments funding for housing, economic development, public facilities, public infrastructure, and planning activities, with the principal purpose of benefitting low/moderate income persons. The hearing will provide further information about the CDBG program and will allow for citizen participation in the development of any proposed grant applications. During the public hearing, everyone will be given the opportunity to express their opinions regarding community needs and the type of projects that should be considered. Comments may be given orally at the hearing or by mail to City of Kalispell Development Services, 201 1st Avenue East, Kalispell, Montana 59901 or by email CDBG@kalispell.com before 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2022.
