The City Community Development Division is hosting an information session on Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME, and the HOME Investment Partnerships American Rescue Plan (HOME-ARP) programs and opportunities for housing development.
The session will take place in the library community room from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16, 2022.
The Community Development Division staff will provide an overview of:
· CDBG and HOME applications and guidelines
· Affordable Housing Development applications and guidelines
· An update on the Division’s HOME-ARP data findings to date from service providers for the development of an application process
Staff also is coordinating with City Administration to see if a brief overview of the Council’s Property Inventory Initiative may be shared so the community knows where the City is going with making some City property available for development.
The plan is for there to be plenty of time available for questions and answers for the public and development community.
Staff will be inviting HomeFront; statewide Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs), local contractors and developers, and services providers (HomeFront, MRM, HRDC, YWCA, etc.) of the low-income residents of Billings.
In the event a quorum of the Council is present, NO City-related business decisions will be made.
