What skills will I be learning as part of the associate’s program?

Associates of Science in Healthcare Administration students will develop an understanding of the U.S. healthcare system, informatics, and technology management. In addition, they will focus on the value of sociocultural awareness when managing patients, families, and the workforce in general.

What skills will I be learning as part of the bachelor’s program?

Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration students will train in preparation for management & leadership within healthcare, emphasizing ethical healthcare approaches.

How are classes held?

The associate’s and bachelor’s degrees are offered online. Courses are administered through a combination of asynchronous and synchronous learning. Students meet synchronously with instructors for one virtual class per week. The remaining lectures and coursework are asynchronous.

Healthcare administrators are needed in various localities across the healthcare continuum. While healthcare administrators can be found in most healthcare settings, the most common places of employment include hospitals, clinics, long-term care communities, and physicians’ offices.
