Last November, the Livingston City Commission postponed a vote on proposed amendments to Chapter 4 of the city code pertaining to Animals, wanting more time to seek public comment on proposed amendments.

The proposed text amendments would:

  • Update outdated language
  • Clean up spelling errors/ formatting errrors,
  • Provide a concise and consistent direction to our citizens
  • Would align the Livingston city code with updated definitions reflected at the state level, and animal welfare language
  • and more

The Commission seeks public comment on the proposed amendments. Click to read the full proposal below. Please note, this is the current code. Additions to code appear underlined in blue, and proposed deletions appear strike-through and in red.

Email your feedback to the City Commissioners at webmaster@livingstonmontana.org

For more information about this proposal, contact City Offices at (406) 222-2005.0
