To help stop illegal immigration into the United States and secure the border, Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen led a coalition of 25 states in support of a federal criminal prohibition on encouraging or inducing illegal immigration to the U.S. Along with 19 other states, he also filed a lawsuit against the Biden administration over its unlawful amnesty program.
