Whiteclay Immersion-School Was Invited by the Buffalo Research and Education Center | Aaniiih Nakoda College
Last week WCIS was invited by the ʔíítaanɔ́ɔ́nʔí /Tatag'a Buffalo Research and Education Center (here on ANC campus) to be involved in one of their projects with the ʔíítaanɔ́ɔ́nʔí. The students were fortunate enough to witness and participate the killing and butchering of the buffalo and now they are preparing it to create an ʔíítaanɔ́ɔ́nʔí kʔééíbisʔi (buffalo box). Buster Moore shared his knowledge and teachings with us throughout this process. Here’s some photos of our students and ANC interns working together today on scraping and preparing hides.
