Blackfeet Law Enforcement Services made a significant drug seizure recently after finding a large amount of fentanyl in a home in Missoula while serving a warrant.
When Blackfeet Law Enforcement Services units were serving a warrant for a person who was suspected of dealing fentanyl, the team discovered an individual who was designated as the Fugitive from Justice attempting to hide in the rear bedroom of the residence, NBC Montana reported. This individual was found by the team while the units were serving the warrant, according to the report.
The authorities found four people hiding within the property while they were conducting the search, the report said. After the individuals in question had been safely removed and secured, the narcotics squad applied for a search warrant to investigate the premises where they had been found.
During the course of the investigation, law enforcement officers came across several thousand dollars in cash in addition to hundreds of fentanyl pills, both of which were subsequently seized by the authorities. At this time, the four individuals who were suspected of carrying out the crime and who were apprehended are being prosecuted at both the indigenous and the federal levels of the criminal justice system.
