The Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) will recognize Montana centenarians in September during the 56th annual Governor’s Conference on Aging. This event will occur at the Great Northern Hotel in Helena on September 16, 2025, featuring a noon luncheon dedicated to honoring them.

Montanans who will reach 100 years or older by the end of 2025 are encouraged to submit their names and brief profiles. Submitted centenarians will receive a recognition certificate from Governor Greg Gianforte, and their stories will be included in the centenarian booklet.

Interested centenarians or their friends and family are asked to fill out a form on the centenarian website and confirm their attendance for the luncheon. To be included in the booklet, forms must be submitted by September 1, 2025.

The Governor’s Conference on Aging, an event since 1968, continues to offer important information and education for providers, older adults, families, and caregivers. It addresses the needs and challenges faced by older adults and individuals with disabilities, focusing on aging and disability issues.

To learn more about the conference or to submit information, individuals can visit conferenceonaging.mt.gov. For further details, conference coordinator Tessa Bailly can be contacted at 406-444-6061 or via email at tessa.bailly@mt.gov. Additional information about the commission's activities is available on the Approved BHSFG Commission Initiatives webpage.
