A Kalispell man has been sentenced to 50 years in the Montana State Prison for the deliberate homicide of a homeless man, with 10 years of the sentence suspended, according to Attorney General Austin Knudsen.

Kaleb Elijah Fleck, 20, admitted to the crime, pleading guilty in February to a felony count of deliberate homicide. The victim, Scott Bryan, was found in June 2023, outside a gas station in Kalispell. Authorities discovered Bryan with severe injuries, including facial and head lacerations. Witnesses provided a video showing Fleck discussing the attack while Bryan lay motionless nearby.

Beyond serving time in prison, Fleck will also pay restitution and register as a violent offender following his release.
