25th Annual Big Sky Christmas Stroll

Event Description:

There's lots to celebrate in Big Sky this holiday season. The streets of the Big Sky will come alive December 9-11 for the 25th anniversary of the Christmas Stroll. Join us Friday at the Meadow Village Center and Saturday at Big Sky Town Center for a weekend of family friendly events, entertainment, and holiday cheer!

The holiday season is not the only thing we are celebrating this weekend. The ski season has just begun! It's a long standing tradition for many to come up to Big Sky that weekend and après with family and friends at the stroll. Big Sky Resort and many local businesses celebrate and show their holiday spirit as well with ski and stay packages and open houses that weekend. Ski, stay, and stroll with us this holiday season!

5:30 - 8 PM Wagon Rides With Yankee Creek Carriage Co. Presented By BSOA

5:30 - 8 PM Scavenger Hunt Presented by Meadow Village Center- Goody bags for first 100 kids to complete the adventure

6:45 - 7:30 PM Holiday Carols at The Big Sky Chapel

5:30 - 9:30 PM at the Community Park Yurt (self guided*) Winter Trails Event Day 1 Stroll by snow and headlamp Friday and Saturday on Big Sky's winter trails. Presented by BSCO, Lone Mountain Ranch, and BSSEF

5:30 - 8 PM Open Houses with raffles, giveaways and holiday cheer at all participating businesses

3:30 - 5 PM Stroll Pre Party at Beehive Basin Brewery

4 PM WATCH ONLINE Elf, The Musical Presented By Big Opportunities- Get your holiday stroll off to the jolliest start with a performance of this new seasonal classic. December 10th and 11th at at WMPAC (run time 100 minutes)

5 - 9 PM Big Sky Winter Market Presented By Bozeman Health | Big Sky Medical Center at The Wilson Hotel- Enjoy a gathering of local artisans, crafters, cottage goods, and other mountain made businesses.  

6:30 PM Marty Pavelich Ice Rink Dedication at Len Hill Park- Join BSSHA and BASE as we dedicate the new ice rink to Marty Pavelich and celebrate on the ice.

5:30 - 8:30 PM Santa's Holiday Lounge at BASE Presented By BASE & First Security Bank. Take your photos with Santa and enjoy a variety of fun holiday activities like the Small Works for the Holidays Art Show and much more at BASE from

5:30 - 9:30 PM at the Community Park Yurt (self guided*) Winter Trails Event Day 2 Stroll by snow and headlamp Friday and Saturday on Big Sky's winter trails. Presented by BSCO, Lone Mountain Ranch, and BSSEF. 

5 PM Open house Stroll Fireworks & Viewing Party Presented By Belle Cose & Engel & Völkers 9:15 PM Fireworks 

Annual Deck The Sculptures Christmas Stroll Competition Presented By Big Sky Arts Council- Visit the sculptures and vote on your favorite decorations.

5 - 8:30 PM Wagon rides with Lone Mountain Ranch Enjoy wagon rides around Town Center and stop by the various businesses and activities along the way. Pickup and drop off locations at Fire Pit Park and Beehive Basin Brewery. 

8 PM Dead & Down Concert at The Independent- Enjoy their outdoor bar serving signature cocktails by Bozeman Spirits. Live performance by The Dead and Down

5:30 PM Balloon Pop Presented By Montana Supply- They will have 125 balloons filled with free prizes valued over $5K. Balloon popping starts at 6PM sharp so get in line early. Free hot cocoa for participants will be served

Open houses and holiday hospitality by various participating businesses all evening long.
