The Gallatin County Sheriff's Office hosted a blood drive in honor of National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, which is celebrated every Jan. 9, according to a recent NBC Montana article. The event received the full support of the Sheriff's Office, as well as the nonprofit organization Montana Concerns of Police Survivors. 

While there's no set goal for blood donations, the Sheriff's Office is grateful to see the community get involved.

“For them to come in and wanting to donate blood in honor of the Law Enforcement Appreciation Day is huge, but we have a wonderful community,” Sheriff's Office Chaplain Randy Jones said.

“It’s really great to see people from the community just show up on their own wanting to donate blood. It makes you feel good knowing that we’re hosting this event,” Deputy Mark Hernandez said.
