Preparations are being made for a fireworks display celebrating Independence Day in Bozeman this summer, according to NBC Montana.
The city of Bozeman has just made public its intention to organize a fireworks display to celebrate Independence Day this July. The city has never before held its own fireworks event. In the past, the Lions Club has been involved in the production of fireworks displays, but that event hasn't happened since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On July 4, at 10 p.m., there will be a free fireworks show held at the Bozeman softball complex, and attendance is open to the public. Additional information will be supplied as the show is planned, but anyone who has questions can call the Bozeman Fire Department at 406-582-2350.
Many Bozeman residents are looking forward to seeing the fireworks show return to the city. The Gallatin Empire Lions Club used to light up the night sky on the Fourth of July with fireworks at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds for at least 15 years, ending in 2019.
According to Whitney Miller, vice president of the Lions Club, putting on the fireworks display was a wonderful thing for the community to enjoy. “Putting on the event is a fantastic community event for me,” she told 7 KZBK Bozeman.
