HELENA, Mont. – Governor Greg Gianforte on May 1 proclaimed Sunday, April 30 to Saturday, May 6, 2023, as Small Business Week in Montana to celebrate small businesses and their contributions to Montana’s communities and economy.
The governor’s proclamation may be viewed here and below.
WHEREAS, over 99% of Montana businesses are small businesses, employing more than two-thirds of Montana’s private workforce; and
WHEREAS, thanks to the entrepreneurial spirit, ingenuity, and strong work ethic of Montanans, we have seen record business creation in Montana in 2021 and 2022; and
WHEREAS, our administration is committed to creating a friendlier tax code and cutting red tape to support small business owners as they drive our economy, create and support good-paying jobs, and add vibrancy to our communities; and
WHEREAS, Montanans can support our small businesses by shopping locally;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Greg Gianforte, Governor of Montana do hereby proclaim April 30 – May 6, 2023,
SMALL BUSINESS WEEK
in Montana to celebrate small businesses and their contributions to
our communities and economy.
