BOZEMAN — Montana State University has planned a full slate of networking, informational and reception events as part of its annual “Almost” Spring Job and Internship Fair held Tuesday, Feb. 28, through Friday, March 3, on campus.
To kick off the career fair, a professional prep event will be held for students from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at the Strand Union Building. The event will include opportunities to prepare with career coaches and employers prior to the fair.
The career fair itself will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, and Thursday, March 2, in the Strand Union Building ballrooms. More than 200 employers are expected to attend during the four days of events with information about careers for MSU students. Sessions on March 2-3 will be devoted to interviews, with more than 50 organizations interviewing students for internships and full-time employment. Throughout the week, students and employers can also meet at seven networking events across campus.
The fair is organized by MSU Career, Internship and Student Employment Services and the Allen Yarnell Center for Student Success. Jennifer Shore, director for Career, Internship and Student Employment Services, encouraged students to begin researching the organizations that will be recruiting at the fair by downloading the Career Fair Plus app — which is available for both Android and iOS — and searching for Montana State University.
The app also lets faculty, staff and students view attending employers, the career fair floor map and the full schedule of events. Shore noted there are many opportunities for students from all majors to secure a full-time job or internship at this event. T
