Filmmaker Mike Cernovich stated, "Jon Tester votes with Chuck Schumer 99% of the time," and described Tester as not a moderate but a "far left wing radical" who is "selling out Montana" to cartels and China. Cernovich made his statement in a July 20 post on X.

"Jon Tester votes with Chuck Schumer 99% of the time," said Cernovich. "The Senatorial election in Montana is massive. Don't let anyone tell you he's “moderate,” that's a lie. He is a far left wing radical selling out Montana to the drug cartels and China."

According to a report by Fox News, Senator Jon Tester urged President Biden to withdraw from the presidential race with Majority Leader Chuck Schumer's support. Tester became the second Senate Democrat to make such a request and informed Schumer of his intentions beforehand.

In a press release by Senate.gov, Cernovich said, "Montanans have put their trust in me to do what is right and it is a responsibility I take seriously. I have worked with President Biden when it has made Montana stronger, and I’ve never been afraid to stand up to him when he is wrong. And while I appreciate his commitment to public service and our country, I believe President Biden should not seek re-election to another term."

Tester was elected to the U.S. Senate as a Democrat in 2006 and was reelected in 2012 and 2018. He has chaired the Committee on Indian Affairs and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and currently chairs the Committee on Veterans' Affairs, according to Congress.gov.

Charles Ellis (Chuck) Schumer has been a U.S. Senator since 1999, with his current term ending in 2029. He has held various leadership roles, including Senate majority leader and chair of several committees, according to Congress.gov.
